Bushy Parkrun Video

I tried to record my Bushy Parkrun today with a little Vivitar action camera I recently won. The quality was ok, but the shaky mount I had didn’t seem to work. It was a chest mounted strap that held the camera in place, but for running, and especially when speeding it up as I did, the…

30 Days of Music – The End

I recently completed a blogging theme I’d seen around 30 days of music, posting a song with a given meaning for each of the 30 days. I’ve compiled these into a Spotify playlist here, and listed them all with their related meaning.   day 01 – your favourite song day 02 – your least favourite song day 03…

Vale Gallop 10k

Another frosty Sunday morning run. I hadn’t heard of the Vale Gallop before, and the description of an “undulating” course hadn’t prepared me for the number of hills on the route and the terrain we had to navigate. It was definitely a tough going 10k, with some nimble footwork needed over farmland, fields and rough…

Tadworth 10 mile run

A wet, foggy, muddy and hilly first run for 2015 but really enjoyed it. Not my best time, but improving from the Harry Hawkes 10 from last year. I came 498th out of 614 runners. Lots of people here at the start line for a foggy and freezing Tadworth 10mile run. pic.twitter.com/SInEPsv2Oo — Stuart Chalmers (@stu73)…

day 25 – a song that makes you laugh

For the fact it’s the great Max Wall, it’s an Ian Dury song, and the way that he sings it is just perfect.   I was lucky enough see the great man’s grave in Highgate Cemetery. It was hard to find (should be as big as Marx’s tombstone!).
